LifePath Unlimited Home Business of Choice for Canadians

May 10th, 2008   General   No Comments »

Forbes magazine estimates that no less than 79 million home businesses will start in the coming three years. Canadian entrepreneurs are looking for a piece of this pie and, with the growth of the Internet and the natural relationship between Canada and the U.S., Canadians have been able to tap into the U.S. consumer base.

A successful home business previously relied on hundreds or thousands of meetings with potential customers. This changed in the late 90’s when the Direct Sales technique rose into favor: it reduced the number of customers that businesses needed to court in return for higher returns.

Direct Sales worked well with the Internet and in 2004 Liberty League International recognized this and burst onto the Canadian scene. Advances in low costs VoIP and Internet access helped to advance the cause.

Wealth Masters International – primarily a financial education company – entered the market and saw Canadians enjoy moderate success in 2006. The new big kid on the block, LifePath Unlimited, is quickly becoming the high end home based business of choice for Canadians.

A dynamic market such as this requires dynamic companies to service it and the big boys of home business are determined to do just that.

3G iPhone Downloads will dominate online Downloads

May 9th, 2008   General   No Comments »

The new 3g iPhone, rumored to be released in summer of this year, could be subject to massive price cuts. How can Apple afford to do this? Well, maybe they can’t. It’s those nice people at AT&T who are taking the hit on this one.

Rumors have it that AT&T may be planning to discount the price of the 3g iPhone by up to $200. This would bring the 3g iPhone into the price range of many more people than are tempted by its current tag, and may help both Apple and AT&T to move more of the mode and, consequently, of contracts for its use. With 3G iPhone Apple getting a cut of around 9% and 25% of tariff fees collected each month, the technology provider is laughing all the way to the bank.

The 3g iPhone will be the talk of the town, just as its predecessor was almost one year ago.

The Growing Popularity of Salvia Divinorum

May 8th, 2008   General   No Comments »

Many will say that all drugs are bad for you, no matter what. Those people would be surprised to learn of the hidden properties of the hallucinogenic Salvia Divinorum. Salvia Divinorum is a native of Mexico, is part of the sage family, and is the cousin of the Salvia plants that many Americans have in their gardens. Not only is the Salvia naturally occurring it is also widely available throughout the United States and, perhaps more importantly, over the Internet.

Salvia Divinorum’s active ingredient Salvinorin A affects the brain in the same way the morphine and other Opioids do: this behavior, says Dr.; Bryan Roth of Case Western Reserve University, is “quite remarkable and unprecedented among naturally occurring drugs of abuse”.

There’s more: reports have shown that studies of Salvia Divinorum and Salvinorin A might lead to other drugs that could be used to treat serious degenerative illnesses.

Not bad for a naturally occurring hallucinogenic plant!

More free Music Downloads from Vodafone

The big players in the music industry have felt the winds of change coming for some time; people were going to have unlimited music downloads whether those who ‘owned’ the music (whatever that means) liked it or not.

Some innovative companies and organizations tried to ride this wave, to take advantage and to profit from it. Some failed, others did ok. One thing was sure: music downloads were here to stay.

And now that view has been cemented well and truly into the ground: Sony BMG, with the help of its partners, is offering unlimited music downloads. Recent deals struck with Nokia and We7 mean that customers of both (in one instance the purchasers of mobile phones and in the other those who sign up for the free service) will have music downloads of Sony’s back catalogue. Impressive? You bet. Unlimited music downloads are a step towards the future of the music industry. Round and round it goes, where it stops, nobody knows.

What others are saying:
Music downloads will surpass CD sales in four years

iPhone Download for Music will dominate the Download Online

Apple’s media machine has been moving on with unstoppable momentum lately. Not only do they have fantastic equipment with which to wow the masses, they also have the benefit of sex appeal, of desirability and, crucially, of fashion. This isn’t an accident and Apple’s marketing team do just as much for the company its technical staff. The free and best iPhone music downloads a perfect case in point.

It’s no real surprise then to learn that Apple are planning to take Europe by storm. The iPhone downloads are free and fun to watch may well be heading across the Atlantic in containers right now, and Apple have been in talks with service providers to discuss who will have the massive advantage of providing Apple’s download an app for iPhone customers with the monopolized contract.

The little people have gained one up on the big A by putting some (poor quality) pictures on the web. Apple’s law team got on their iPhone downloads will eventually become free and put the situation right by having them removed. Perhaps this lends some weight to the pictures, perhaps not.

Home Business Communication

April 24th, 2008   General   No Comments »

Your home business is your livelihood, and you know that time is money. So why do so many home business practitioners insist on purchasing sub-standard equipment? With something as important as your telephone and your computer – both essential links to the outside world and to customers – why risk your time by buying a shoddy piece of unreliable gadgetry?

Investing a little more into your home business can mean heightened productivity and much less downtime. Take a decent phone, for example, with a wireless headset. If you spend a lot of time on the phone then imagine the time you can save doing other things.

Likewise your computer. Time spent reloading software onto the computer after yet another virus infection is wasted time. Go for a decent machine and some decent anti-virus software from the start. Hell, buy a computer that you can use as a backup in case you other needs repairs.

Your home business is important and spending a little extra on good equipment should be seen as an investment rather than a waste.

Ares

Ares was a really nasty God, even by the sadistic standards of the Ancient Greeks. He commanded so little real respect – choosing instead to rule by fear, slaughter and terror – that he appeared in very few Greek myths. The Spartans were the only ones that actually liked him and they were, predictably, game for a decent scrap and slaughter too.

How, then, has the most popular filesharing software gained this name? Goodness knows. Ares P2P software is known for its slickness of execution (not the same kind of execution that Mr. Ares liked), its easy to use interface and the way it works nicely with your firewall. It does not want to slaughter your children.

Why too did NASA consider it wise to name its latest Moon-going rocket, capable of pulling some 130 tons into Low Earth Orbit and 65 tons to the Moon, Ares? Did it envisage war and slaughter on our only satellite? Do the Martians need teaching a particularly gruesome lesson? Who knows?

What others are saying:

What is Ares?

What Ares is

Salvia Divinorum

U.S. legislators are targeting a new enemy: the hallucinogenic Salvia.
Salvia – a drug which induces short-term hallucinogenic effects such as out-of-body travel or of morphing with inanimate objects – is legal in most States despite being billed by some as more potent that marijuana. The effect of Salvia on the user is reportedly similar to that of LSD and PCP which are both illegal.
Part of the reason that Salvia has ‘got away with it’ for so long is that it is not a household name. It is only once the nature of the drug gets into the mainstream mind that people will start to complain and lobby groups. Once this happens its is only a matter of time before the politicians and law makers start trying to score political points from the concerns of parents and teachers. Salvia will bear the brunt of this political force and will be the organic equivalent of a sacrificial lamb.

Home Based Business

Over dinner after a conference the conversation went towards an area of conversation that I usually avoid: self help and self awareness. It’s not that I don’t think it worthy of conversation but rather that I don’t subscribe to this way of thinking. At least that’s what I thought. What separates an excellent writer from one that just relays information (as I am doing now!) is that the writer is able to voice all those opinions that you knew you had but were unable to articulate properly.

Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich has this in bucketfuls. I read the first few chapters a long time ago but – to my shame – put it down after three chapters or so. Most like I wanted to return to the latest trashy fiction that had caught my eye. When I returned to the book recently to read Chapter 11 - “The Mystery of Sex Transmutation: The Tenth Step Towards Riches” which had been specifically recommended, I noticed just how useful it was to Think and Grow Rich. To think and grow rich is specifically a mindset thing and I discovered renewed interest after reading Chapter 11. I finished the book in two (long) sittings. It truly was my time to think and grow rich.

This world is a metaphor for iPhone downloads

April 11th, 2008   General   No Comments »

There is a world out there, a world of darkness and of light. A world where creatures lurk and holy paladins roam the land. This world is a metaphor for iPhone downloads. Go wrong in this world and you can ride the crest of a wave of joy; get it wrong and you’ll be sink into Davey Jones’ locker with the rest of the mollusk-sucking sea scum.

If that didn’t get your attention, let me try again: iPhone downloads are available everyone over the internet. Typing ‘iPhone downloads‘ into Google results in a, quite frankly, confusing number of results. Choosing the right one can be a bit of a hit and miss affair (if we discount the big players like Apple’s iTunes, of course).

Free iPhone downloads can mean free music, movies, applications and games right on your phone. Take them with you on the bus. Annoy other passengers! Game on!
