First of all, to make a cell phone signal booster, you need to get yourself a can. Empty and clean, of course. You need a coffee can, a cookie tin, and a solder. Then, you need a soldering iron, antenna connector and pigtail connector.
Take the bottom of one of the cans with a can opener to make one big cylinder of them. You can solder the cans or simply use a tape to attach them. Then, you need to make a hole to put the antenna parts in it. You need to measure 97 mm up from the bottom of your cylinder, stab through and cut out. After you have a nice clean hole, get to preparation of antenna parts. Actually, the antenna is just a piece of copper wire that you need to solder to other antenna parts. You can get one in some store and simply find it somewhere in your house. Stick this piece of wire inside the receptacle, hit up the parts and use solder to attach them. Once you have it ready, stick it in the hole. The part with the wire should be inside your cylinder. Screw the nut to install it. Now, your cell phone signal booster is almost ready. Then, get a pigtail connector you bought specifically for your model of cell phone. Screw it to your antenna.
Now you simply need to plug it to your phone! And here you have a nice self-made cell phone signal booster.
