iPhone Games goes Platinum
Good news for people in the Australasia region: Apple’s tour de force of countries receiving the iPhone games is increasing. This time, though, they may be diverting from the standard tactic of providing rights to use the iPhone games to only telephony carrier. This has to be excellent news for the consumer as even a duopoly provides competition. A monopoly such as that seen in the US, UK And Germany allows the carrier – in conjunction with Apple to whom a proportion of profits go – to set whatever price they deem suitable.
New deals in Singapore, India, Philippines and Australia mean that customers there will soon be getting the marvelous iPhone games. These deals are added to the others recently closed in Turkey, Italy, Canada and so many others.
Apple had reportedly sold 5.4 million iPhone games units, and with these new deals (and with the imminent arrival of the new model) this is likely to surge forward.
